This policy explains how Buchecha (referred to as we, us or our) handles personal information when you visit buchecha.com or buy from us. We only collect what we need to run the shop and look after your orders, and we never sell it.

1. The information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses.
  • Order details: the products you buy, your order history, and the messages you exchange with our support team.
  • Device and usage data: your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, the pages you view, the site that referred you and the time of your visit.

2. Payments

We accept Shop Pay, Shop Pay Installments (orders of $35 or more), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Elo, JCB, and UnionPay. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, which handles your payment information directly under PCI-DSS standards. We do not store full card numbers or payment credentials on our servers.

3. Why we use your information

  • To process and deliver your orders, including payment, shipping, returns and refunds.
  • To keep you informed about your orders and answer your questions.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions.
  • To improve our website, our product range and our service.
  • To meet our legal obligations.
  • To send promotional emails, only when you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with third parties that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:

  • Shopify: the e-commerce platform that hosts our store.
  • Payment processors: to process your payments securely.
  • Shipping carriers: to deliver your parcels.
  • Analytics providers: to understand how the site is used and make it work better.

We may also disclose information when the law, a regulation or a legal process requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety and those of others. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone for their marketing purposes.

  • You can ask what information we hold about you and how we use it.
  • You can stop marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.

9. Rights for California residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you additional rights:

  • Right to know: you can ask for the categories and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete: you can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of sale: we do not sell personal information. If that ever changes, we will offer a clear way to opt out.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

10. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

Although we sell products for families with babies and young children, our website is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
